Founder / Counselor / Infant Family Specialist
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who
has been providing therapeutic and support services
to women & families since 2009.
My passion for equality, women-empowerment, reproductive justice, & healthy families motivated me
to create Empowered Life, LLC – A specialized
private practice with a mission to empower women and families through comprehensive, compassionate counseling & support services.
My approach is to empower clients to achieve personal wellness and create the life they desire. I enjoy assisting clients in self-exploration, self-love, strengthening relationships, and achieving their goals. I take great pride in providing comprehensive services in a safe, welcoming environment. Get in touch to learn more!
I have over a decade of clinical experience in working with women, children, and families in the areas of violence against women, women's issues, child welfare, adoption, and mental health. I began her career by providing counseling, support, and legal advocacy services to women survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual violence. I transitioned to providing home-based counseling services to families and children at risk for child abuse/neglect or involved with child welfare, with a specialty in working with families impacted by domestic violence. I continued my career in the adoption field at a national, non-profit, open adoption agency working as a counselor and coordinator with birth mothers as well as adoptive parents at various stages of the process. In these positions, I facilitated educational workshops and seminars, support groups, options counseling services, and home study services.
I have been providing therapeutic services in a private practice setting to women and families since 2014 and continue to do so today. I am eager to share my passion and expertise with others in the women's issues, child welfare, and adoption community.
Professional & Community Involvement
I enjoy attending and presenting at various speaking events, support groups, conferences, and trainings. Some opportunities include the American Adoption Congress Conference, Celebrating a Second Chance at Life Survivorship Symposium, and the Adoption Summit.
